What is Organic Cacao Butter Buttons?
The Cacao bean is the raw and unprocessed version of the cocoa bean, chocolate in its purest form. The Theobroma Cacao tree produces cacao pods that are split open after ripened to release the Cacao bean, which is then harvested, fermented and dried. Cacao butter is a vegetable fat extracted from the bean during production and has a rich, creamy consistency that looks and tastes like white chocolate. The butter is then solidified and moulded to form the hard button shapes.

Cacao butter contains a high proportion of saturated fats derived from stearic acid and palmitic acid. Its raw structure retains more of the healthy fats found naturally in its unheated form.
